Red Lamp on Auction

I have an online auction that I always keep an eye on, Lauritz.com. Tonight I found a fantastic lamp - should I place a bid?

Spring Flowers

I know it it still winter, but when I found these Tulips at my florist, my inner Spring spirit came out. The Catkins I just had to buy - I have loved them since I was a kid. It is just fasinating how a plant can feel like a little fury animal.
The regtangular vase is from Ikea.

Yarn Bombing

Yesterday I went to a Danish interior fair called Formland. It was really inspiring, several trend forecasters had made different areas with colors, interior and great ideas. I have taken a lot of pictures and can't wait to show you. The first thing I will share with you from the fair is a theme that the fair company had arranged: Yarn Bombing.
I guess most of you have heard about this urban trend with colorful knitted graffiti. At the fair we could find it everywhere: on door knots, chairs and even on the garbage cans (Look at Trash Cans). I think it a fun and very happy and positive form of decoration - maybe it could be used on a thing or two inside the home too? What do you think?

Old Dog - New Deco Tricks

Some say that you're never too old to learn new things, which I think is so true. Only by learning new stuff you grow as a human being.
Every day after school my daughter attend this club where they hang out, sing, play games and do all kind of hobby stuff. One day she came home and told me that she had learned the art of decoupage and now she want some decoupage glue and tell me how it was made. We bought some glue and we sat by the table gluing a hole Saturday afternoon. I made two things and I was proud as a little child when I was finished. A round box decorated with paper napkins designed by Susanne Schjerning, and a square box decorated with the local newspaper. I must do this again soon, you can make some really nice stuff out of it, and it is not difficult at all.

My Old Bedroom

In my old house I had the most beautiful and bright bedroom. It's only flaw was that it was difficult to place a closet because of the sloping walls, but then I came up with a solution with an Expedit bookcase from IKEA, which I put on some wooden plates and painted them white. In the front I could use the middle row of shelves for books, alarm clock and so on, and on the backside I could have my clothes - and actually I had a nice walk-in closet behind the wall.
The style is much more feminine than in the bedroom I have now, I think I should go back to a bright and light style like this next time I redecorate my bedroom.

The dress form is from my time as a design student

These lovely photos I found in a fashion magazine

The small pictures are made by my grand mom, the small perfume bottles are a gift from my sister, and the rose a gift from a good friend.

A Pink Juice Bar

Tonight the weather is stormy and cold, and many places in the country you are best of staying inside your home. On days like this I love looking back on my Summer photos to assure myself that it will be Summer again in a couple of months.
It was while I was looking through all these Summer Photos I found this great Juice bar, which I visited a couple of years ago in Agia Napa, Cyprus. I just love the colors and if I ever get to design a café, a bar or anything like it, this juice bar could definitely be my inspiration.

Back to Work

Baktus in the back and Raphaello in front.
The new year has begun and I'm back to work - pretty hard I think. When my alarm clock woke me up yesterday it felt like it was in the middle of the night. Sometimes I wish I was on of our cats, then I could just lay around in the house all day and relax.

And then again... when I think about it... I would definitely not like to be trowed out in the garden every night when "my people" was going to bed - no matter what weather it is.

Make your own Mood Boards

I love to make mood boards and I use them both in my professional and my personal life. At work I use them to gather ideas for stands on lifestyle events, themes for color cards and much more. In my private life I use them to test new combinations of furniture and accessories. I think working with mood boards is a way of being creative in a very constructive way.
I found a mood board app for my iPad and it is nice but not directly fitted interior nerds like myself. That is why I became so happy when I found Olioboard where you can mix and match a lot of different furniture, wallpaper, carpets and much more - and yes, you can upload your own stuff too.
I won´t tell much else about the program, just try it!
Here is my first version of a mood board made in Olioboard. My first mood board is much more simple than many of the other mood boards on their website, but I think it came out quite nicely - being my first one.
